But sometime, when I do the following query: SELECT ARCHIVED, STATUS FROM V$STANDBY_LOG; It returns the following for all the standby redolog groups ARCHIVED STATUS NO ACTIVE Because of the above, the capture process behaves like an archived-log downstream capture process. In other words, when a redolog group is archived at the source database, the capture process does his work. Hello,I'm using a sequence which calls other sequencies with the methods of the TestStand API. The sequence reads an INI-File and every found sequence is executed and there is even a Report generated for each entry. There is a Report (one entry for each called sequence) generated for the mother sequence too.The problem is that the user should be able to stop this execution between the Execution of two sequencies.

You can also skip the SPFILE clause when you create it manually. In my experience you need 2 or 3 attempts to work out the correct parameter conversion. If some parameters change on your prod database you might have to adjust this clause again.

Use v$session to update and query to get info about running level backups. By no means use ps to grep for rman sessions. –> Schedule Archlog Backups regardless of level Backups. –> use “set command id to ‘level ‘;” inside your rman code to update v$session. If you are experiencing connectivity and/or bandwidth issues between the primary and the standby you could always consider downgrading the protection level you are running your primary in: If you can accept some level of data loss on a disaster in your primary datacenter then LGWR ASYNC may be the sweet spot for you. With a round trip time of around 10ms between primary and standby I regularly see a mere handful of seconds of transport lag to the standby. In fact, if you run in Maximum Availability, you can get the best of both worlds, synchronous data protection when all is good, and no impact on primary should you lose connectivity to secondary. Like most things, your protection level is a real trade off, between impact on primary and level of protection afforded to your data.
